Question: Are the on demand urgent care house call services legal?
We are fully licensed, insured, and credentialed through all the various means in Texas.
Question: How do you safely manage insecure information?
Very important question. We are Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliant utilizing secure Medical Record that sets the standard for sensitive patient data protection along with secure billing. The technology services security measures in place to protect health information (PHI), physically, and in network to ensure processes are HIPAA compliant.
Question: Can I schedule same day or in the future?
Absolutely! To facilitate same day schedule it is important to reach out in advance.
Question: Do you really do you house calls with Houston’s traffic?
Yes!
Question: Will I see a Nurse Practitioner or Physician?
All of your care is provided by board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Nurse practitioners are able assess, diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses, order labs and diagnostic tests, prescribe medication(s) and medical device(s), refer for further management, and educate with illness and plan of care.
Also, Nurse Practitioners are experts in health education and prevention, concerned with the well-being of the whole person rather than focusing on the disease process alone. Nurse practitioners are perfectly suited to bringing back the care to you!
Question: What are your hours?
Visits are scheduled by appointments. Need a late or early home visit? Call or text for scheduling.
Question: Do you provide Well Child checks?
No we do not offer Well Child checks as we’re not equipped to provide childhood immunizations (Refrigeration with temperature monitoring required).
Question: What population do you treat?
We treat the pediatric (as young as 6 months) and adult population.
Question: It’s inexpensive, what’s the catch?
No catch here. It’s simple. It’s direct healthcare to the consumer.
Question: Do you accept insurance?
No, we do not accept insurance. We do accept Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). It’s direct healthcare to the consumer, that’s how we keep our costs low.
Question: I have health insurance, may I use it for the visit?
We are an out of network provide. We will provide a super bill for reimbursement. Reimbursify is a service that can be used for reimbursement https://reimbursify.com/. You can use your insurance for prescription medications, medical devices, and labs ordered.
Question: What’s the cost of the home visit?
It’s 100.00 for home visit. Offer low fees for any rapid lab testing and minor procedures if necessary. *3% charge for credit card transactions.
Question: What forms of payments do you accept?
We accept cash, debit and credit cards and Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). We are an out of network provider. We will provide a superbill for potential reimbursement with your insurance.
Question: May I submit my visit for insurance reimbursement?
Great question. Since we are out of network provider you may submit the super bill (itemized bill) for potential reimbursement. It may or may not be reimbursed as each insurance carrier varies.
Question: Can you write for prescription medications?
Yes. Prescriptions are sent electronically to your pharmacy.
Question: My child may have a broken bone, can you provide X-rays?
No we do not offer any radiology imaging.
Question: Do you draw blood for labs?
No we do not complete blood draws for work up. We recommend following up with your Pediatrician or family practice provider.
Question: If I am having severe shortness of breath or severe asthma attack can I be treated?
No, this is a medical emergency. Dial 911 or go to your nearest Emergency Room.
Question: Can you treat medical emergencies?
No, we are not equipped to handle any emergency conditions such as chest pain or pressure, shortness of breath, weakness, eye injuries, uncontrolled bleeding, severe headache or abdominal pain, confusion, altered mental status changes, head injuries, etc.
